cannot open the file in photoshop / AI / preview

When i updated the MacOS to Ventura, the file can't open it on PS /AI from my colleague, preview also can't. but MacCatalina is ok. seem the OS problems.

if they open and save the file on the updated OS Mac, then send it to me. the file is work. 

just can't read the file from the old OS system. can slove this problems?

My OS is Ventura/ they OS is macOS High Sierra and macOS Sierra

Hi @kwok kin5D5C if I follow correctly its only when you receive files from the user on High Sierra? What format is the file? If it is a .psd - is the High Sierra user saving with Maximize Compatibility turned on? How are you receiving the files from the other users? Email? Cloud service? etc?

@kwok kin5D5C can you open Photoshop normally without using the files supplied by the other users? If so go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

They send the Jpg file by Email and FTP.  not a PSD. 

if they send PSD file. i can open it. just cant open it for the JPG file by photoshop and preview.

seems the MacOS privacy & security problems. Now they buy a new Mac(Ventura), then i can open the file. However, the existing email, still not ok.

Hi @kwok kin5D5C make sure when using email that it is not downsampling to changing the jpg format to .jpeg or something else. I've seen this in Outlook especially. When sending image I would recommend ZIP them before sending to maintain integrity.
