Can you take a screenshot that shows your image with the problems and one with the setup of your layers panel? Also, maybe the settings you've tried (the Options bar settings), when you've tried to use the tools?

Without being clear on what you're describing - for example, you mention that they layer you'd moved into your image, but later you say that you can't make layers again. Did you flatten the layers without addressing the pixels of what you pasted it? Or perhaps, the settings on your clone stamp tool are set wrong? All I can suggest is that when you're trying the clone stamp tool, please try to make sure the settings look lke this.
