Question

Color change in every program 2.0

Dear Forum,

My hardware

Computer:

Monitor: Eizo CG2730

Calibration device: built in on monitor
Calibration software: Color Navigator 6 (latest version)

My Problem

The photos appear different in different programs when I use Eizos color profile. I use Lightroom Classic CC (newest version) to develop all my photos (Raw Files), and Photoshop CC 2019 (newest version) for retusch. So when I'm done developing a photo in Lightroom, and then open it in Photoshop, the photo will appear with less contrast and with a slightly more green tint, it will do so even if I do nothing in Lightroom, se picture below.
How ever, the photos appear exactly the same in the two programs, if I use a standard color-profile like Adobe RGB (1998) or sRGB IEC61966-2.1

It's like photoshop won't apply the color-profile from Eizo, because it's the only program that shows the photo like I described above, in less contrast. Because if I open a Raw-file in finder, it will look the same as in Lightroom.

Photo with no edit done to it

Photo with edit to it, it's slightly easier to see the problem on this one.

Please help,
Kindest, André

Those screenshots don't tell me anything. Do you have a side-by-side screenshot - Lightroom Develop compared to the same image opened into Photoshop? They should be identical, but if they're not we need to see the difference.

What are your ACR and Lightroom version numbers, specifically? Not "latest", but actual version number. Please check.

Aside from that, I'm getting a little worried when you say

It's a monitor profile, not to be used as document profile, if that's what you're trying. Those two must be kept separate at all times, and not mixed up.

I have that monitor, and there are no problems with the profiles from ColorNavigator 6, in any software.

Hi, thanks for answering.
I'll post a new screenshot with the photo 1:1 in both programs (develop in LR).
It's not a HUGE difference, but if you look at the darker areas hopefully you'll see.

Is this the information you need regarding version numbers (photo below)

Ok this might be my lack of knowledge, I just don't know how to express myself in antoher way regarding this mather..

Right, thank you. That's much clearer.

Yes, there is a subtle difference, but it's only in the darkest values, near-black. Low mid levels and up are identical. You can best see it in a histogram capture from your screenshots. Top is Lightroom, bottom is Photoshop:

Why that happens is hard to say. I've certainly never seen it. My first suggestion would be to set ColorNavigator to make version 2, matrix-based profiles. ColorNavigator calls matrix "gamma value". The defaults are version 4 and LUT-based, and both of those are known to cause problems in some situations.

LUT profiles are supposedly more accurate (hardly a consideration in this case), but also much more data-heavy and complex. Most other calibrators make matrix profiles anyway, including high-end ones like NEC Spectraview, so there's no particular reason for using LUT profiles.

Here's how:
