Color profile problem

I´m using photoshop and illustrator, but I seem to have a problem with the colors appearing differently in each program. They are really washed out in photoshop, and warm and bold in illustrator. I´ve synchronized the color settings in bridge, I´ve double checked if the color profile is set to the same, and checked that they are both set to RGB. Every setting I´ve dound seems to be the same but the colors still appear differently. Does anybody know what the problem is?

This is an untagged image, and then it is displayed randomly, according to whatever you have set as working RGB.

The only thing that really matters is what profile is embedded in the image. If there is no embedded profile, you need to assign one (and hope it's the correct one).

Your color settings aren't important as long as you have "preserve embedded profiles" set (and you have). Then the embedded profile will always override your color settings.

Similarly, there is no particular reason to synchronize color settings. Mine are deliberately not synchronized, because requirements differ in different applications. Any file with an embedded profile will still be handled correctly.

So complete the "assign profile" command in both applications. They should now by definition display identically in PS and Ai. If they don't, you have a defective monitor profile (which can affect applications differently).
