I have a document with, among other things, headshots all at 1" square. About 50.
Is there a way to create a contact sheet with them at 1" square? Contact Sheet II just seems to want to fill the space with no control over image size.
thanks!

You may want to consider my PasteImageRoll script. You can more or less specify the resolution you want the document to have specify the size you want the 1:1 Portraits to be and the grid layout you want be specifying the Paper width and any white space between images and canvas margins, All 50 image can be tiled on a single canvas to be printed on Roll Paper. All your image need to be in a folder you will select during the scripts execution. In the File selection dialog you can have it sort the Image files on File name, Creation Date or any other meta data the dialog can sort on before you select the 50 Image files. You could also use a Collage or Mockup template. My Collage template design support up to 53 Images.
Free Photoshop Photo Collage and Mockup Toolkit included in the toolkit is PasteImageRoll script http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/PasteImageRoll.jsx

I can't check right now, but I would be surprised if it was not an option:

Search the forum for more info on xbytor's contact sheet x.

You can indirectly control the size of one cell by correctly specifying the sheet size and the number of rows/columns.

Thanks - however, I need image titles... should have mentioned that in my original post. I need the printer & client to be able to identify them.
I suppose I could overlay a grid of small numbers in the corner...

Contact Sheet, Bridge Output module, and my PasteImageRoll script can label the tiled image with their file name. I believe Contact Sheet and Bridge will fit the image to the square tile aspect ratio so no Image content will be lost. Images that do not have a 1:1 aspect ratio will have boarders on two sides in the composite. My PasteImageRoll will fill the 1:1 Tile with image content. The resulting image will look like a centered Aspect Ration crop there will be image content loss in the composite. However, my script can tile as many images as you want on any canvas width that you set to Photoshop max width. In theory the is a 8000 layer limit. I would not expect Photoshop the perform well tiling 7,999 image my machine would most likely fail.
Script run slowly they are not compile optimized programs. On my 2Ghz slow PC it takes 15 minute to paste 215 4" x 6" images on 16" wide roll paper 27' long paper.

Have you experimented with the suggestion from Jazz-y with the caption option turned on?
