I keep getting this error trying to make Gifs from MP4s. How can I solve it? I have 16 GB RAM on a Mac

What percentage of available RAM are you giving Photoshop under Edit > Preferences > Performance?

Increasing the amount of memory/RAM allocated could help.

What resolution is the MP4 video file, and how long?  A  4K video with 26FPS would need to create a document 3840 X 2160 with 1560 layers for every minute.

MP4 - 1080p 30FPS at 1280x720. They are no longer than 25 seconds. My 2008 Mac can handle it but I have a 2022 Macbook Pro M1 with 16 GB
