Hi

If you need to create a document in a linear space try this:

Start with the space you want to base the primaries on (e,g Adobe RGB or sRGB)

Edit Convert to profile
Choose Custom RGB

Give it a name and set Gamma to 1.0 - you can choose to leave the the primaries and white point or edit them further as required

I should also have added - that there is another option depending on what you are using the linear space for. Just changing image mode to 32 bit will automatically use a linear space.

OK

If you want to save it as an ICC profile to use later

1. Go to Color settings and click on your RGB workspace

2. Choose Custom and as before choose Name teh space and choose  1.0 as the gamma and set primaries as required.

3. Click OK

Your workspace now is set to your linear space

4.Click the same working space drop down (as if choosing a new workspace) and this time choose Save RGB

5. Save the space

Don't forget to reset your colour space back to your normal default (Adobe RGB or sRBG etc)

Your saved profile is now available in the Assign Profile or Convert to Profile list
