Crop tool broken in Photoshop 23.5

Updated PS CC to 23.5.0 yesterday.  Today, whenever I attempt to crop and image, the image disappears, the histogram become a series of vertical lines. Pressing CMD-0 results in a set of 8 blocks of relatively neutral color but the entire image.  Undoing the crop causes the file to zoom to 12,800% but it does revert to the file before the crop was attempted.

I have deactivated Native Canvas.

I have turned off Graphics Processor.

I have restarted after both and no improvement.

Already tried Disable Native Canvas and restarted. No change.

Manually removing the Settings file did resolve the issue.

Hi @treyneal3 sorry to hear this.

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

If this doesn't work let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

Thank you,

Thank you for the update @treyneal3. Have you tried rolling back a version to see if the issue persists?

I have not. That said, is there a way to restore any of my prior settings (I saved the Setting file before deleting it)?
