Drag selection (to select multiple layers) stopped working

Question

Suddenly the dragging-selection by mouse click & drag stopped working (trying to select multiple layers with mouse dragging).

In this clip at first i show drag-selection outside the artboard - works great.

later i show click & drag for selection INSIDE the artboard -> doesn't work at all:

This is a huge issue for me - this massivly slows down my workflow... pls help!

Nevermind. Just fixed my issue! &#128516; This was not selected, after I checked it, I am able to drag and select. Hope this helps

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using? Did you start experiencing this issue after an update to Photoshop or to Windows? Are you able to select multiple layers if you press & hold the CTRL key while clicking & dragging?
