Question

Endings of strokes with pressure sensitivity acting strange in Photoshop 21.1.2

Hello,

I'm currently learning Photoshop to use for digital painting. I've used it for about 2 weeks with no hiccups. While drawing today I kept getting odd lines at the end of my strokes. When I lift my pen it leaves a straight line that doesnt seem affected by pressure sensitivity (circled in picture 1). This happens especially when drawing fast and lightly. I tried using another program (Medibang Paint Pro) and found that I didn't have the same issue there (comparison in picture 2). I tried reinstalling my tablets drivers as well as Photoshop and neither have fixed the issue. Did I change a setting without realizing or is this not a normal problem?

Some extra information:

OS: Mac v10.14.6

Photoshop Version: 21.1.2

Tablet: Wacom Intuos

Hi there,

We are sorry about the experience with Photoshop while using the Wacom tablet to draw. Have you started experiencing these issues after the recent update to Photoshop?

You can check if you are experiencing the same behavior with older versions as well by rolling back the version of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

Note: To save you preferences before rolling back the version, please uninstall the current version through the Creative Cloud desktop app and select the option to Keep the preferences.

You can also backup the preferences manually using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Regards,

Nikunj
