Even more problems than before 25.6

This has to be the buggiest version to date.

It all started with the sticky click. It seems to be finally fixed in 25.6 but it came with a whole lot of issues that, shocker, made it worse.

  1.  GPU Acceletarion randomly turns off mid work.
    I work constantly with shapes, while I'm trying to work the image will blink, the appearance will look lanky and the selected colored lines I had for shapes and such will become gray. This while a mild inconvenience, it's annoying as hell.
  2. PSP will not load images.
    I still haven't exactly detected if this only happens if it only triggers if you don't immediately open an image or not. But when opaning any file, while you can see the name of the file load in the tab and the zooming scrolls appear, the image will not, you can zoom in and soom out as if something was there, but there's nothing, you can close it, open it, nothing. The only fix is restarting the app and hope it doesn't happen again.
  3. Lasso+ zoom

    This is the newest bug after the last 25.6 update. While selecting anything with the Lasso Tool, where the limits of the selection should be, the disappear only to be replaces with weird diagonal selection lines, it's a bizarre look. And don’t even try to zoom while selection is on, the image will lag Windows 95 style, where you could create a collage of the frozen window if you moved it around. The only way to fix the zoom issue is deselecting. The Selection issue I haven’t find anything.

  4. Zoominng is laggy as heck.

I haven't been able to use a stable version of PSP since 2021! I still have that version because every time a new one comes around it's useless. 2022-2023 were laggy, nothing fixed that, and now 2024 is so broken to the point of being completely obsolete.

Hi!

This may be a basic question, but have you checked the compatibility with your Operating System and the version of Photoshop you are using? I only ask because I still use 2020 for producion purposes because I am on an older OS on my Mac and see some of the issues you are talking about with newer versions of Photoshop that might not be as compatible with my OS.

Here is a help doc to see if it is a compatibility issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

What version of Windows are you using?

@MarinMarina

Everything you describe, including your screenshots, clearly point to your graphics processor (GPU). That's what's causing all your problems.

Please post the complete Help > System Info so we can see your GPU configuration. Just paste the whole thing into a reply.

I experienced the exact same problems with version 25.6.  I reverted back to 25.5.1 --> same problems. Then I reverted back to version 25.5 --> problems gone.   So it's seemingly being caused by a change that occurred after v25.5.
