Check your hard drive with the appropriate diagnosis tools of Windows or the buildin tools of the board.
Especially check the scratch disk.

If @AxelMatt ’s recommendation should not have resolved the issue please describe what you have done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far.
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
