Font style changing automatically [2021]

So I receive templates from someone using PS CC 2021, same as me, Adobe Fonts, same as me, working on Mac, same as me, but everytime I click the text to edit, it changes it's style, I can't find a workaround for this problem and is driving me crazy, here's an example, original on the left, how it looks as soon as I click on it on the right. It only happens with certain fonts, in this case it's Montserrat from Adobe Fonts.

It only happens with certain fonts, in this case it's Montserrat from Adobe Fonts, I trully have no possible explanaiton as why it looks so different. I've already tried reinstalling but nothing works, installing from google fonts either.

I'll leave a screenshot from my computer (above) and from a coworker's (bottom)

The characters look the same, when adjusted for the different size screenshots, but the kerning looks different. Try putting the cursor between each letter and check the kerning values.

Nope, no style was applied on that text layer. I uploaded the pictures you requested on the other comment, just in case you didn't see them.

What happens when you  print (hide the colored background layers) and hold the two pieces of  paper up to a light? Do you see a difference in the printed document?

It looks like one is Bold (or Fake Bold) and the other is not. Can you click an insertion point in the text and show a screen shot of the Character panel with the text? It would be helpful if we could see a similar screenshot from the other person as well.

Hi Jane, here you go, as I said we both have oficially downloaded Adobe Photoshop CC 2021 and both using Adobe Fonts. The above image is mine and the other one from my coworker.

Hi @Iacuzzi

Can you show another screenshot of both computers:

  • Character panel, not Properties
  • Select all of the text with the Type tool
  • Use 100% zoom on both computers
  • Show the guides in both computers
  • Show the rulers in both computers
