Generate Image Assets From Layers - Can't Resolve Error Message
Hey all! Setting up a new, 2025 Macbook Pro, M4 (running Sequoia 15.3.1). I selected 'Enable Generator' via PS settings > plugins, like normal..
But here's the problem:
- I'm getting the 'error message' I've read about on here: "There was a problem with Generator. If the problem persists, please see: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error---there-is-a-problem-with-generator--occurs-when-launchin..."..
I use this feature a lot for quickly saving out jpegs and I can't get the error message to go away or the image assets generator to work. Is there a newer, similar feature everyone's using instead?
Here's everything I've tried:
- I've read threads on here, read the article linked in the error message - none of the solutions seem to work.
- Am running the most up to date version of PS, tried in PS Beta also.
- Have checked/unchecked 'enable generator', restarted photoshop, CC and my computer.
- Don't have any anti-virus software outside of whatever is built into Macbooks.
- No VPN
- Firewall was off but turned it on and tried adding Photoshop access to my firewall
- Gave PS 'Full Disk Access', and other similar OS changes (and then restarted computer).
- I feel like it might be a local access issue? But can't seem to figure out what 2025 M4 Macbook Pro settings need to be changed.
Have read about opening in Rosetta but doesn't seem to make sense to revert back on a new computer/worried about performance? Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
