Bug:
We are experiencing issues when trying to use the gereative AI tools in PS 2024.
At home with no proxy, everything is working correctly. At work the adobe suite correctly gets the proxy server settings from the system and redirects its request to our proxy, e.g to perform software updates.
"Generative fill" unfortunately, seems to ignore these proxy settings and tries to directly reach the amazonaws servers, which does not work, as direct internet access is blocked by the company IT for security reasons.
Solution:
The generative AI tools have to follow the rest of the suite and handle internet access according to the system proxy settings.
has anybody found a work around to make the generative AI tool use the correct settings?

My version of Photoshop is 25.1.0. But also the latest Photoshop beta (25.3.0) has the same issue.

Hi guys, same issue here with the proxy.
Did you find some workaround ? is Adobe taking care of this issue ?

No, Adobe is not taking care of the issue. I have been stuck in tier 1 support hell for nearly 2 weeks without resolve. Requested the issue be escalated. Still no response from Adobe.

@Oliver32981254ar7l @Francois310269350epy your IT needs to push an update to allow network endpoints for apps & services:

There are over 35 different urls in the minimul allow list this is insane. What ports are they using what are their IP's to create rule exceptions. To open this many access points into a network. Why Why Why!!! What is needed by the sounds of it here would be a way to configure Generative AI proxy settings. Why is it SOOOOOO difficult to get Adobe support on this I have been back and forth with them for nearly 2 weeks without any tangible support. And definately no resolution! Sorry bit of a rant there. But my gosh it should not be this difficult.

@Oliver32981254ar7l If your IT is blocking access for security reasons, then then this needs to be discussed with them.

uh what!? Adobe needs to build a product that does NOT require 35 plus external URL's to connect with. And that is just the minimul list. They also need to provide a way that Generative AI tool uses the same proxy settings as the Creative Cloud app does. At the moment it appears that the Generative AI is ignoring proxy settings and trying to connect directly to the internet. I a secured domain environment the firewall will block it everytime. This is an Adobe issue not network issue.

Unfortunately it looks like nothing is blocked into the proxy.
but after many hours / day of searching if something is blocked, we just found this topic where it seems proxy in Adobe AI is buggued somewhere ...

1- I have successfully used Adobe Photoshop applications and the web app generative fill on my MacOS 12 without encountering any issues.
2- Similarly, I have also used Adobe Photoshop Web on my Windows 10 without experiencing any problems.
3- However, when using the Windows 10 application of Adobe Photoshop 2024 version 25.4, I consistently encounter an error message stating that the generative fill service is not responding. Despite ensuring that my internet connection is stable and I also disabled all my Windows firewalls and defender anti-virus software, the issue persists.
4- Additionally, I have noticed that every time I press the generative fill button on our MacOS Photoshop and web apps, as well as the Windows web apps, I saw there is activity from firefly-ps.adobe.io through our proxy. However, this activity is not observed when using the Windows application of Photoshop 2024. I don't know why please help, thank you.

Hello, I have the same problem.
All products and all fonctions work but generative AI ignore proxy settings.
Did you find a solution ?
Thanks.

Yes i have the solution, it took me a LONGGGGGG time discution in my compagny to bypass the proxy because ADOBE just do bad things and do not care at all about the customer.
You will never see an aswer of management / support that really help. They blame the others.
And now with NO proxy it works.
No it will not help you, but ...

Not using a proxy in a secured domain environment is not an option the firewall will block internet traffic not using the proxy. This is not a solution.

I agree, but Adobe don't care at all of what they develop, and does not care about custommer issues. It is never their fault.

Doesn't appear to be a workaround that I can find or if they have found a work around they are keeping it secret. Adobe needs to come up with a fix to correct the issue in their PhotoShop product. However Adobe does not appear all that interested in fixing the issue.
