When I use photoshop 2018, I get a blue screen and my computer freezes and I have to reboot. It happens when I'm in the middle of using the program or right after I get out of photoshop. Whats going on?

Is this a new build, and specifically an X299 using a Gigabyte motherboard?

What version of windows are you using? What does the blue screen show?  Are all windows updates installed and are all you device drivers up to date????? Blue  screen crashes usually send a report to microsoft and then reboot your machine. If setup up the default way.

I thought Microsoft changed to Green screen of death in Windows 10.   Have you run hardware diagnostics and a memory stress test if you not using ECC memory.

Well Photoshop CANNOT be to blame. That’s the rules. Could be hardware, could be system, most likely video driver.
