Hi all,
since the last update i have an issue with the hand tool. Usually i use the space bar for switch to the hand tool and scroll the image, but after releasing the space bar and the mouse click the tool keep working like if i am still holding down the commands annd the cursor movement clearly move my visual. For unlocking it i have to click 4-5 times on the image o clickin on the navigator.
Someone have an idea for fixing it? 😞
Thanks a lot

Well, I'm defeated and driven crazy by this bug. I choose to go back to version 24.0. I hope Adobe doesn't focus all its attention on AI features, okay? There are many basic bugs that need to be fixed

Dec 21 2023, this is still not fixed. Multiple Windows 10 computers, 25.3.1
This is so frustrating and annoying, I don't understand how long this bug has persisted

Simple, They get money from us users (Rent only) anyway, so they don't care much about users.
They (adobe) just need to make stockholders happy, users are secondary interest for them.

This seems to be the truth, sadly.

As i mentioned before. We have the same problem on multiple Windows 10 PCs. And meanwhile not only with the handtool, the pen is unusable aswell with the newst photoshop version. We all rolled back to 22.2.0, no issues there.

Edit — Preferences — Tools. Unckeck «Enable Flick panning». After that the problem had solved. But after that Wacom PS stopped working with wacom pressure. So i turned on windows Ink in wacom settings and that solved too.

My "Enable Flick Panning" is OFF already and no difference , it still has same problem/issue.

Same here. Disabling "Flick Panning" is no solution. Hand tool still gets stuck if i use the newest version of PS.
Also got the lastest system update (win 10) and the newest nvidia driver installed (2080 RTX).
Adobe where are you? Will there ever be a working solution?

I Just found out why
in my situation it was MS Word and MS Excel. I closed them both and could use space bar in the Adobe Photoshop rightaway.

I'm looking everywhere for a proper solution to this (as well as many many other bugs)
This is such a time & energy suck for those of us on tight deadlines

I would rather they spend the time on fixing the many bugs in Photoshop than to adding new functionalities as it is a lot more important to users who rely on the backbone functionalities for their daily tasks than having fancy new features. Everyone has reverted to the old version of Photoshop now and paused the new version updates because we all want a stable version that works! I wish they would read our comments, but I doubt it.

Like so many of my clients, I am at my wit's end when it comes the undocumented random keyboard shortcut 'feature.' It's as pervasive as it is troubling and it has remained a continual source of frustration for too many for too long. I've tried to link it to specific hardware (Apple and Logitech keyboards and mice, Intel v. M-series Macs, USB, Bluetooth and network connected devices) as well as MacOS systems, third party utilities, extensions, plugins). The only common denominator has been Adobe Photoshop—and Adobe ain't talking! There is a singular resolution that does work: delete Photoshop and all associated application files, then reinstall Photoshop (I know). Use Photoshop until the 'feature' reppears, then repeat the deletion/installatiom process. Ater the fresh install, Photoshop typically remains in an uncorrupted state lasting anywhere between several months and a few days. One of my national clients created a shell command that expedites much of the delete/install process, as they delete and renstalli Photoshop every workday morning. This is a well known issue spanning multiple Photoshop releases and is an issue that Adobe apparently considers to be a minor inconvenience. My staff, clients and I have entertained no small number of fixes and promises of solutions and workarounds from Adobe and other resources that do not address the problem without incorporating draconian measures that inversely impact productivity and workflow. It's already enough hassle deleting and reinstalling the app, it makes no sense to limit Photoshop functionality when it does work.
Unfortunately, there are no fully developed applications that can do what previous versions of Photoshop once did so briliantly.; if there were, my clients would switch instantly, just as they did when replacing InDesign with Quark's superior and largely troublefree XPress page layout sotware. Don't even talk to me about Premiere!
