How Can I Trust Adobe When I Can't Open My Older Files?

All of my .psdx files dont work anymore!!  I loved and used Photoshop Touch and made hundreds of important files in that format.  Not long ago i was able to go between desktop Photoshop and PSTouch seamlessly but now all of my work is stuck in time and cannot be opened in any Adobe product.  I feel that Adobe owes its users who trusted that their work would be available and compatible over the next years to provide a solution.  I need my files that are backed up on Adobe Cloud and saved in Adobe's own file extension to work!!!  This is a matter of trust!

    Adobe provides an import plugin. Give that a try: Can't open Photoshop Touch files in Photoshop CC

      The plugin requires manual placement in the program file system.  The instructions stop at Windows 8 and OS 10.7; in Windows 10 and Photoshop 2018 the file systems are apparently different so that the pathway indicated in the install instructions is not available: 

      "Location for the plug-in

      Windows 7, Windows 8

      (32-bit version)

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins\File Formats

      (64-bit version)

      C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Files Formats

      For Mac OS X 10.7 or later (only 64 bit)

      Mac HD/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC/Plug-ins/File Formats"

      Where does the plugin go on modern systems?  Is this plugin still compatible?

      The path for CC 2018's File Format plugins is:

      C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2018\Required\Plug-ins\Files Formats

      PSDX is the Photoshop Touch plugin and is already in that folder. (Adobe did add Touch Support as promised and you shouldn't need the plugin)

      When you go to File > Open  Photoshop Touch is in the list for CC 2018
