How do I create the copyright symbol in Photoshop CS6, Windows7? Alt+0169 does not work.
ALT/ OPITON + R = Ā® (rights reserved)
ALT/ OPITON + G = Ā© (copyrite symbol)

I just use Character Map, and Copy/Paste the Ā© symbol.
With the Alt+ keys are you using the numerical keypad, or the numbers at the top of the QWERTY? Is NumLk ON?
Good luck,
Hunt

I usually just find it somewhere on a web page and copy/paste it.

It should work but make sure you use the numeric keypad.

Thanks to everyone. I used the custom shape tool (which I've never used before) and I copied and pasted a symbol. Both methods worked well. Since I only have to do this once a year, I should be set until January.

On most keypads, ONLY the numeric numbers will work with the Alt+ method.
Glad that you found a solution.
Good luck, and happy editing,

I know this a little old, but for anyone who comes across this I found that "ALT +G" on my imac creates a copyright sign in a text layer.

That doesn't work on my PC. I am using PS CS6 and holding down the Alt button and typing 0169 doesn't do anything...am I missing something?

You have to use the numeric keypad if you have one. It doesn't work with the standard number keys.

Yes. Your Numeric Lock key needs to be engaged on your numeric keypad.
Otherwise you're not typing numbers. You're using the directional keys .
If you use a laptop without a numeric keypad, you still need to engage the Numeric Lock button. to access the numerals. See screenshot.

I am on a Mac running 10.11.6 - El Capitan. My numbers are across the top of my letters. Is there another way to find the copywriter mark? It used to be so simple!!!
