I had to reset all my preferences and I had it set up the Command + B would duplicate my layer. Now I get a Dialog box asking me to name the new layer. How do I turn that off? TIA!

Hi!

The default to duplicate in photoshop is ctrl/Command+J. That should just do a straight duplicate without asking for a layer name. Does the default key shortcut ask you to name the layer when duplicated?

If calling from Layer > Duplicate Layer menu, adding the OPT/ALT key bypasses the dialog. Same for the Layers panel option menu.

This is opposite to the keyboard shortcut where CMD/CTRL + OPT/ALT + J will copy the layer WITH a dialog window!
