Newbie Question re Liquify Tool:
Duplicated previous layer on which to use the Liquefy Tool.
Activated Liquify Tool:
Filter >> Liquify
Selected Forward Warp Tool & made minor correction to a small, uneven portion of subject’s shirt. Clicked OK, & exited the Liquify Module.
Now, looking at the image, I see that the Liquify Tool satisfactorily corrected the minor buckle in the shirt. However, I still see a “ghost” remnant of the original problem superimposed over the correction.
How do I get rid of the ghosting from the earlier uncorrected image?

We can not see what you are seeing. You need to help us there. Capture your Photoshop Screen and post it se we can see Photoshop UI palettes and image display. Do not scale the screen capture down in size,.

Thank you for responding to my inquiry.
Out of frustration, I deleted the liquefy layer(s), which exhibited the ghosting problem, after I submitted my question on the forum.
In response to your reply, however, I began the liquefy procedure all over again, capturing screen shots at every step along the way. This time, though, no ghosting occurred to the image, after exiting the liquefy module. I guess that is good news, but would have preferred that the problem occur again, so that I would know what originally went wrong.
I will try to be more mindful of the steps I take in any future liquefying procedure, so that I can accurately report the steps taken, if I should run into any ghosting problems again.
Thank you for your interest and offer to help.
