How to Isolate an Object by Making everything else a Dark color?

How do I recreate images like these where the object is being focused on because the rest of the picture is one color?

Hello,

Yes its a Photoshop question. I have a lot of pictures I want to put text in but the background always makes the text messy and unreadable.

I how do i make the background one color to overlay with text while keeping the main subject matter in tact just like the examples I have shown?

Use a Black fill layer at the bottom

Mask your image with a layer mask so the black shows through

Add your text layer
