how to make rounded edges using rectangular marquee tool?

how do you make rounded edges in photoshop?  I assume it has something to do with

the rectangular marquee tool.

As i remember in previous photoshops there were additional options beyond the

hard corners.

A better choice is the us the rounder rectangle tool  in path mode the when you get the one you want click on the selection button.
