Hello, so I figured out to add a gradient to text in Photoshop but when I make a new line of text, the gradient keeps extending. Is there a way to allow the gradient style to stick to each line of text instead of the entire text box? I've provided a screenshot for reference.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. That is a great question. Let me see if I can clarify that for you.
There are more than a few ways or approaches you can take to achieve the results you are expecting.
One of them is to create individual text layers and apply gradients to each layer manually. This may be tedious, but it gets the job done one way.
Check this related thread, and it has some significant inputs from our Adobe Community Professional: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/how-can-i-apply-gradient-overlays-to-individual-letters/td-p/8708908

Adobe does have this in Illustrator and InDesign, which are more vector-oriented. I don't see any reason type in Photoshop shouldn't offer the same fill and stroke options Shapes do, not just color.
