If Using Photoshop while Rendering with Media Encoder Computer Crashes
I didn't upgrade Premiere in 2022 because of a known serious bug that persisted. So, all through 2022 I used 2021. In 2023, at the beginning of this year I decided to try to upgrade and see if the bug was resolved. The bug was resolved but I noticed right away that a new bug appeared. When using Premiere Pro (my main program) and then opening Photoshop to do something my computer would completely shutdown/crash.
I ignored this bug for a long time hoping it would find it's way to being resolved. But it hasn't. I started noticing this happen in media encoder too. So, it seemed the bug was getting worse. But, now it only seems to happen, or mostly at least, when I'm rendering with Encoder and try to edit an image in Photoshop.
Every year since cloud first started I have had problems with updates. I've upgraded building the best computer I could at the time and still every year problems. And some of these problems have cost me weeks of my life. So, I really didn't want to deal with yet ANOTHER problem.
My three main programs are Premiere, Encoder, and Photoshop. I use Photoshop to edit backgrounds for premiere and various fixes. When I'm rendering in encoder I would love to be able to create the thumbnail in photoshop for the video I'm going to be publishing. But, when I try EVERYTHING CRASHES.
I'm not doing anything too profound here. I've been trying to basically do the same thing for like 25 years. Just very basic, simple production workflow here. But, despite having 64 GB RAM, 2080Ti, i9 980X and paying adobe 50 plus bucks a month, month after month, year after year, the most basic tasks seem to be as challenging now in many ways the same as they were decades ago. Only now it's worse because I'm tired of putting up with Adobe.
I really don't have life in me anymore to deal with adobe bugs. But, I need to get through with these productions. I would probably never be trying to work my way out of doing production work if it wasn't for all the problems I have with adobe. Adobe has repeatedly stifled my carreer path and stolen my passion while ruining my life work potential.
