Please allow me to turn off image size preview in image size dialog box. I have to convert 12000 pixel images with 40 layers down to 1080 and the preview takes waaaaayyyyyy too long. My production time suffers greatly. I do not need to see the preview

Or use Image Processor/Image Processor Pro.

Make an action, using either Image size or Fit Image. Actions don't show dialogs unless you specifically want them to.

Assign an F-key or run as a batch.
