Installing PS6 on a MacBook with M-1 chip

A couple of years ago I purchased Photoshop CS6, on CD. I'm not a fan of the Cloud.

I have finally updated to a new MacBook Pro 16" M-1. I managed to restore all programs with no problem. But a few others, PS amongst them, refused to restore. My new computer has no CD/DVD drive, so I cannot reload the app, although I've paid for it.

Would someone be kind enough to send me a patch or a link. I don't want to pay per month, I've already purchased the app with full licence. Thank you

Hello, unfortunately, the installers are 32 bits, and as Ged said it, the operating systems above Mojave require a 64bits version of the installer.

Also, the program was made for Mac running Intel processors, and, even if there was a way to run it on the M1 machines under the current OSes, you'd be forced to work in Rosetta emulation mode.

You need to upgrade your software to match your smart new MacBook Pro. The Photography Plan includes the latest version of Photoshop, and upgrades as they become available (with all the amazing new tools) plus Lightroom and some storage for around $10 a month. Definitely worth considering!

What operating system is on the MAC, Photoshop CS6 is not compatible with anything above Mojave, and there's no patch/update to make it work
