It is confusing. What is the different between the Invert & Inverse Selection?

Select>Inverse/ Edit>Cut allows you to cut away the pixels outside of your selection:

Select>Inverse/ Edit>Cut allows you to cut away the pixels outside of your selection:

one inverts an image/layer, the other inverts a selection.

Ajustes/Invertir ==> Convierte la imagen en un negativo.

Seleccionar/invertir ==> Pasa a seleccionar el área que no lo estaba, cambiando así la zona para editar.
