Hi there,

Sorry that keyboard shortcut CTRL+T for Free transform in Photoshop 21.0.3 is not working as expected.

Please update to the latest version of Photoshop 21.1.2 and let us know if that makes a difference.

Does the tool work if you select it from the Toolbar? If it's a problem just with the keyboard shortcut, please checkout the steps mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-stop-photoshop-mac.html and let us know if that helps?

Thanks,

Akash

thank you for answering my question.

First, after selecting another tool, the box did not appear. There was no problem with the shortcut.
I checked the site that informed me, but could not solve it.

But today I solved this problem in photoshop 21.0.3.

'Symmetry off' was the problem.

symmetry off is active and symmetry line is exsit : ctrl+t box appear.

symmetry off is active and symmetry line is not exsit : ctrl+t box not appear.
→choose(ctrl+click) and press delete key(keyboard)

this also happend.

if you select the pen tool while using symmetry, 'delete path' is not active when you click MRB.

but if you delete the symmetry line while using symmetry and select the pen tool,

'delete path' is active when you click MRB.

the symmetry is active but not active,

there is no line, but there exsit a line.

if the symmetry line doens't exist, symmetry should no longer be atcive.

But today I solved this problem in photoshop 21.0.3.

'Symmetry off or line' was the problem.

symmetry off is active and symmetry line is exsit : ctrl+t box appear.

symmetry off is active and symmetry line is not exsit : ctrl+t box not appear.
→choose(ctrl+click) and press delete key(keyboard)

if select pen tool while using symmetry, 'delete path' is not active when you click MRB.

but if you delete symmetry line while using symmetry and select pen tool,

'delete path' is active when you click MRB.

i think when symmetry line is deleted, invisible vertex is also deleted.

or symmetry line doesn't exsit, symmetry should no longer be active..

maybe if i update photoshop, it will be fixed.

Free transform has requirements. The command is not always available. Do you have something the can be transformed targeted? Can you post at screen capture showing all the pertinent Photoshop UI information when Ctrl+T is not working.

thank you for answering the question.

there was no error for a few days after posting the question.

but today the error appeared, after using gradient tool.

the tartget naturally exists in the layer.

however, if the error occurs once more, i think it can be solved.

This happed to me as well!!!!!!. Why did adobe change it to where you have to use a shortcut to transform instead of using the same idea as older version of photoshop? I'm not a fan of the new versions of photoshop and always having problems with transforming images.  Thanks adobe for attempting to make thinks more simpler, but instead, making it more complex. #SickToTheOriginalConcepts

I had the same problem since yesterday on v 22.5.1 , windows 10 (up to date). It started yesterday when I replaced a 2k to a 4k monitor. So Ctrl+T doesn't work when trying to select a layer, but works when the "Show Transform Controls" check box is on. FIX: reset the Workspace, and possibly change it a few times to different ones. Mine is on Paiting and it got fixed after reset.

When I pressed command T on most items no box showed up. Reset Workspace was the fix for me.

I am using a version higher than 21.0.3 - seems like you have a lot of us.  You have to have a way to fix this, it's such a basic tool that has to work.  Please advise.  SOON!!!
