maximize button not working the same way anymore 2023 vs 2024

Not sure when this changed but its suddenly driving me nuts. The green maximize button does not (nor look) the same as its did in previous versions, 2023 for example. I want to my maximize button to behave how it did previously, but I can not find an answer. You can see how they appear different in the attached screen shots

It also depends on if your using Floating Document Windows.

With Floating Document Windows hold Option while clicking on the Maximize button to use Zoom as it worked in past Photoshop versions.

@TTrue this is a new feature that you can control in Preferences>Workspace>Enable Native Full Screen.

Photoshop now honors the Mac OS system settings if this is checked.
