Yes  a Pen need to be compatible with the digitizer in the device you want to user it on. It is not using Touch  Screen Support. Microsoft pens use ntig technology and also have a bluetooth top button.

The touch gestures are very limited in photoshop: zooming, rotating the screen, and panning. More precise features like painting and cropping are not supported. The PS interface requires a much more refined pointing device, like a pen to work. A finger is too large.

Hi, Thanks you!

I have a pen, a simple one...

It doesn't work at all with the 2 sides.

A pen has to be detected as a device by the computer or not ?

Because this one don't..

Thanks

Thomas

Right you draw with the pen on the surface display. If you want to draw with your finger use the touch-pad on the keyboard like a mouse.  On the display your finger has no button to click or a pen nib to detect. Photoshop brush engine does not have finger device support.  Pen and mice devices are supported. Do you see finger or touch control listed?

That doesn't work.

I don't have a trackpad, this is a Microsoft Surface pro.

I just try to connect a mouse and i can use all the tools on the left pannel.. none of these work in touch mode...
