Hi everyone,
I have a problem with PS on my surface pro, the geisture are not working.. It work great with Camera raw and Lr but not with PS.. When i try to crop or drawing something, nothing happen..
The geisture touch is Ok in the settings..
Could you help me ?
Thanks you
Thomas
The touch gestures are very limited in photoshop: zooming, rotating the screen, and panning. More precise features like painting and cropping are not supported. The PS interface requires a much more refined pointing device, like a pen to work. A finger is too large.
Yes a Pen need to be compatible with the digitizer in the device you want to user it on. It is not using Touch Screen Support. Microsoft pens use ntig technology and also have a bluetooth top button.

Right you draw with the pen on the surface display. If you want to draw with your finger use the touch-pad on the keyboard like a mouse. On the display your finger has no button to click or a pen nib to detect. Photoshop brush engine does not have finger device support. Pen and mice devices are supported. Do you see finger or touch control listed?

That doesn't work.
I don't have a trackpad, this is a Microsoft Surface pro.
I just try to connect a mouse and i can use all the tools on the left pannel.. none of these work in touch mode...

You can buy a keyboard with a track pad for you surface pro and you can also buy a surface pen. Photoshop Brush type tools do not have support for finger touch support. Photoshop Brush engine supports Pen and mouse type devices. Your fingers do not have a clickable buttons nor does your touch screen a track pad does. Photoshop does not support finger painting and you have ten of them which you touch display supports. The Are application you can use on your surface Pro that do support finger painting. Photoshop does not. Photoshop touch support is limited to touch gestures.
Photoshop supports a single touch,in Photoshop CC (2014)

Do you have a pen with pressure sensitivity or a stylus which is nothing more than a finger substitute are there buttons on you pen. There are pens in the market like Wacom's INK pen that work with Windows INK on Surface machines.

Hi, Thanks you!
I have a pen, a simple one...
It doesn't work at all with the 2 sides.
A pen has to be detected as a device by the computer or not ?
Because this one don't..
Thanks
