Question

Move multiple layers onto one layer and resize

So I have a bunch of layers that are silhouettes of a character I'm working on. However, they're all about the same size, and they're sitting on top of each other. Is there a way I can simultaneously arrange them so that they display across my background? I know I can do it by hand, but with how Photoshop seems to have a button for just about everything, I was curious.

Not sure I understand what you want exactly, please try to elaborate.

There are Scripts for distribution with more control, I guess, but one option might be to drag one of the layers off to one side, select the bunch of layers and then use the default distribute functionality.

We have to guess to some extent, without seeing, but you could try selecting all the silhouette layers, and making their blend mode Multiply.  The would let all the blacks show through, and you could flatten or merge the layers.

But like I said. It can only be a guess without seeing your project.  You might be to do that by setting layer panel options > thumbnails to large, and then taking a screen grab of your entire workspace, and pasting to this thread.

Here is a screenshot of my layers right now. I want to resize and arrange them in a grid automatically if possible.

Perhaps we are overthinking this. Chances are, you have created and saved each illustration (layer) as a separate file. If that is the case, consider File > Automate > Contact Sheet II saved as a psd file to create the grid if images.
