Hello, 

Likely not a new topic. But here are my computer system details. If anyone of you can see what cause my computer to overheat while using PS and while working on a single photo (not even trying to stack or blend here), please and please again tell me. Thanks!

In a first step you should check your hardware. Are all fans working, are clean and not dusty.

Are all ventilation openings and ventilation grids on the housing open and clean? 

The other point I see on your system info is that your PC is only match the minimun requirements. You should think about a upgrade. The recommended size of RAM is 16GB (or more).

Open the Task manager (Ctrl Alt delete) and click on the Performance tab.

Click on CPU if not already selected, and look at the Utilization while using Photoshop.

The window will remain on top.

Your CPU speed is on the low side, so might be getting maxed out.

How big is the file you are working on? How many layers etc.?

Look in the root of your Primary Scratch disk for Photoshop Temp files, and see what size it/thay are?  BTW  If you have multiple temp files, they should all have today's date.  Any left after closing Photoshop can safely be deleted.

I think it is likely that with 8Gb RAM you'll have a large temp file, which will mean lots of disk activity.  That will also cause heat to build up.

Is this causing an issue?  How hot is the CPU getting? If your system does not display temp, apps like Core Temp and Speccy should do that for you.  Be careful if you install Core Temp.  Some of those invite you to install other apps like AV.  Make sure you decline if you see that.

If your system is getting hot, then it probably has a fan speed control in the BIOS or an installed motherboard app.  Google should help you with that, but tell us what you are using and we'll look it up for you if it helps.

Is this a laptop?  Is it being used on a hard surface so that cooling vents are clear?

Thanks so much, I need to start doing my "computer duties". I added my full system info in the comments below. 

It's a one fan laptop, also on a fan deck. Plenty of ventilation. Though, I do use the biggest raw file that my D810 can produce. On the other hand, I use minimal editing. Almost no layers other than my original photo, at this point. Basically, I use camera raw and the new denoise feature. Using PS for minimal crop and different type of export. It overheats using LR as well. Just slidding the buttons makes the computer to overheat. Fan needs to be max speed. Eventually, I will use tons of layers for night sky photography and other stack stuff... Now, it can barely stacks few photos.

Is your complaint that apps can overheat your computer, and you e checked with a thermometer or it's shut down? That's a computer fault, they are supposed to use fan, then slow down.  They will feel hot, but that's not overheating. 

Or is your complaint that you don't like fan noise? That's not a fault, and not overheating. It's what the computer was designed to do, and at last you have apps that can use the full power you paid for...

Hi @sandra26686153q6zx a few things  from your report - first update your drivers for your 1650 they are out of date by almost 2 years.

Second, you have two GPUs one underpowered (Intel UHD) and your main one (GTX 1650) . Here’s how to resolve: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#multiple-gpus

Third, you only have 57 GB available as scratch disk. This may not be enough resources if you are working on long sessions, a lot of files or larger files. PS alone can use 20 GB for startup leaving you with little resources.

You have an integrated GPU in addition to the Nvidia. GPU conflicts is a known problem for applications that use the GPU for actual data processing (not just display).

You may need to disable the Intel GPU completely. I don't have the link handy now, but there's an Adobe Help page covering this. Google "troubleshoot GPU". I'll post it later.
