My CTRL won't select multiple layers

I am having trouble with the CTRL button. It works fine until I am trying to select different layers at once. The curser will sometimes change to the black circle with the line through it.

Apologies for not being able to give any more information, if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer.

Correct answer Robin_23

I tried pressing the keys to get the prompt to come up, however it just opened Photoshop as usual. I didn't realise before, but it also isn't allowing me to open groups by clicking on the arrow, I have to right click the group to open it.

It was fixed with the latest update. I don't know if it was the version, or something that was changed during the update.

Restore Preferences

  • Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.
