Hello
After scanning it was that a few pages from these old paper journals that the back side is faintly showing on the front of the scan. The joural paper is very thin thus the results. Is there a tool in photoshop that can be used to blead away the effect of the backside from showing on the front side? Thanks!

Yes, do as Stephen said to do: rescan with something black behind the page. There is no magic tool in PS to do this, and you will spen a long time attempting to fix it.

My wife recently revealed to me that you can scan documents with an iPhone.  You select the Notes app, click on the camera icon and Scan Documents, and all you need do is compose the page and the camera squares it up and takes the picture.  No need to press a button.  Then move to a different page and the phone knows you have moved on and automatically repeats the process, and so on and so forth.

It works remarkably well, and while I wouldn't use it to record Dag's valuable paintings, the quality is more than good enough for things like business documents, and perfect if you need to share those documents.

Hi @Trevor.Dennis

I too recently discovered the scanner in the iPhone Notes app. It's excellent for day-to-day scanning. I've always used the Dropbox scanner but the Notes scanner gives better results IMHO.

I was surprised to learn that the Notes scanner has been there since 2017. It doesn't seem to be a feature which many people are aware of.

Rescan with a opaque black backing behind the page, or photograph instead of scanning. Correct capture is always preferable to doing this in post processing.

Edit: this presumes that your current capture method is unintentionally exasperating the issue.
