Is Nik Collection 1.2.11 (free version for Windows) compatible with Photoshop 2023? I've been waiting since Saturday for an answer from Adobe... quite happy to charge a monthly subscription, yet there is NO tech. support available 😡

I found problems with the current version of Photoshop and Nik. For peace of mind I finally purchased Nik.

However, some people have successfully run the free Nik. Check out this link for advice in the video and comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR2ljLNUWJ8

Thankyou for your reply - I actually downloaded Nik (free) from the link
that this guy suggests (after checking that it was legit). The Nik suite
appears under filters in Ps, so I know they are installed. But the message
when trying to open one of them is 'could no complete the Colour Efex Pro 4
(the same for any of the choices) command because of a problem with the
filter module interface'.
So sadly, still no joy...

I just answered another question about NIK plugin.  Install an earlier version of Photoshop to use NIK for now.

"Is Nik Collection 1.2.11 (free version for Windows) compatible with Photoshop 2023?"

By @MoSavy

I have the original Nik collection from Google also and have used it in all the different Photoshop versions. I found that when I copied and placed the plug-ins in this directory they work.  -

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC (Windows OS)

A while ago, Adobe had mentioned that PS Plug-Ins should now be stored in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC and that's where all my Plug-Ins are. I've never had any dramas with any plug-ins when I install new Photoshop versions

So, try can copy your Google/Nik folder from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2023\Plug-ins\Nik Collection\ to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for your reply -
I had already copied the files to the folder you suggested, as they were
not visible in PS in the other folder (that they installed into).
When I try to use one of the NIK suite in PS, i get this message -
[image: image.png]

So I'm stumped...

@MoSavy
Did you copy the whole Google/Nik folder intact as is?
