Object selection tool freezing 2022

I have three windows computers. I first noticed the issue months ago on my two older computers. I rarely used PS so it was ignored but noted. If I waited 5+ minutes, it would unfreeze.

Recently I factory reset 2 of my computers. One of the old, and the new that I use specifically for adobe products. The new one had no previous issues with photoshop or any other adobe software (work account not tied to this personal account if you're looking for a crash report), windows and adobe are freshly installed (yesterday), out of the box settings.

FROZEN, just like the old one! Old one still freezing!

IF YOU WANT AN EASY FIX:

  1. Wait 5 minutes if you accidentally touch the "object selection tool".
  2. Once it is unfrozen, bury that tool in "extra tools" like you're hiding a family secret.
  3. Grab any other tool you are not using and put them above this tool in the "extra tools" section so you don't accidentally mouse over it.

Adobe, as I was typing this, I tested the tool out a few times to see if it was a "first thing you click on at startup" issue. It is not, and it keeps freezing and it is a damn shame. I think it is way better than the "select subject" button under magic select.

Hopefully, you fix the freezing issue! It is a great new feature.
