Outer Glow not working as expected.

Hi Friends,

I have created a simple live art rectange and I am applying an Outer Glow to it.

The problem I am having is that the Outer Glow is appearing inside, as well as, outside the rectangle.

How can I have the outer glow appear only on the outside? (I thought it would do this by default)

Thank you.

Does the Layer have a Fill?

Did CS6 even have Fill and Stroke for Shape Layers?

Please post a screenshot with teh Direct Selection Tool selected so we can see the Layer’s settings in the Options Bar.

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Properties, Paths, Options Bar, …) visible?

Did you apply a Feather to the Shape Path?

No, I didn't.  Just the outer glow.

And it seems to work as expected and intended or does the Shape Layer have a Fill?

By partially hiding the Layers Panel you made it impossible to tell and you omitted the Properties Panel from the screenshot … what is so hard about posting a meaningful screenshot?

Also: Which version of Photoshop is that?
