Issue: The adjustment slider triangles in Photoshop 2024 Color Balance tool on the Shadows page of the tool d not have their white fill and are almost invisible. On very close inspection, the triangles are present as black outline shapes but are not filled in with white. In contrast, the triangle sliders are visible on the Midtones page and the Highlights page. Clicking and dragging the nearly-invisilbe triangles should be does change the numeric value of the slider and does affect the appearance of the image. The numeric value box does accept typed values as well.
Software and system:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.9.1 20240610.r.626 e3aae35 x64
Number of Launches: 168
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
Version: 10 10.0.19045.4529
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- Open a pg image that has not undergone editing.
- Add a Color Balance layer.
- Click the drop down menu of the tool to select “Shadows.”
- Notice that the slider triangles are missing.
Steps that did not resolve the issue:
- Tried with tif and png images that had no pre-existing layers, then added a new Color Balance layer. Same result.
- Tried opening tif images with many preexisting layers, then added a new Color Balance layer. Same result.
- Tried removing the Color Balance tool and then replacing it with a new instance. Same result.
- Tried closing and reopening Photoshop three times. No change in the issue.
Expected result: The Color Balance tool should display legible slider triangles for the Shadows range just like it does for the Midtones and Highlights ranges.
Actual result: The Color Balance tool does not display legible slider triangles for the Shadows range.
I am sending a screen shot of the Shadows page of the Color Balance Tool to show what I see.
