Subject. It appeared for download via CC and mentioned on some Adobe web pages but I cannot find description for this release. Thanks.
A bit more insight. The official bulletin will be updated/released on Feb 8th. The gist of the security issue was that opening a PDF that contained 3D content could be used as an exploit. That issue was patched in 22.5.5 and 23.1.1. I'll try and post the the link once it's live.

In the CC application, did you try this after selecting a product:

Sorry, what's your point? I asked about 22.5.5 released in January, 2022; not about the 1st release of 22.5 from August, 2021.

No! The January 2022 release is 23.11.
It is all described here:
Make up your minds about what you need to be informed about: 22.5 or 23.1.

23.1.1 and 22.5.5 were both released in January.
I've not seen any info on the content of the latter, but given that functional updates tend to go into the current version (v23.x.x) then it is safe to assume that 22.5.5 only contains security or stability updates.

Simple: the latest version is 23.X and what's new has been described by Adobe.
Photoshop 23.1.1 includes fixes to several customer-reported issues and performance enhancements. For details, see Fixed issues.
Update and move on.
In addition there is this:

As your previous responses, this one is also irrelevant to my question.

Your question was correctly answered and now, there is a newer version to replace that older one which was just a security fix.

Nope. I asked which fixes, is this hard to understand? "Security" says nothing specific. As I mentioned, security fixes in some older versions led to inability to open certain files. Just an example. As Adobe released new build, there is something new (indeed, "new" means any changes, including "security fixes"), and I want to know what it is.

Your question was correctly answered and now, there is a newer version to replace that older one which was just a security fix. Adobe never promised to supply you with every underlying fix; security or otherwise. You can ask. You did. There is a newer version that supersedes that version. Those fixes were outlined by Adobe.
Is this so hard to understand?

Actually I agree with the OP here. An update has taken place from 22.5.4 to 22.5.5, two days ago, and so far there does not appear to be anything in Adobe's documentation that states what the change includes. If you take the update then the CC app states "general stability updates".
With previous releases to 22.5.2, 22.5.3 and 22.5.4 there are contents mentioned here : https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues-history.html and from that page the specific security bulletins for security updates are linked. With 25.5.5 there is no mention and no such links.
I don't see the posters request as unreasonable. Anyone would want to know what is changing before deciding whether to take the update.

This is still primarily a user to user support forum. Everything Adobe wants its customers to know is outlined and the URLs were provided.
Again, Adobe never promised anyone here or elsewhere they have to explain the minutia of every dot release.
Further and again, this one dot release that is a "general stability updates" is even older than the newer update which is outlined and explained by Adobe as is their choice.
Anyone can upgrade/update or roll back. Why anyone wouldn't want bug fixes and "general stability updates" is beyond me but again, Adobe has provided the information they want to provide and everyone else here is either a support volunteer or not (an end user) and an Adobe team member can post further details than "general stability updates" if they so desire.
You'd kind of think, if Adobe wanted to provide specific information about an old dot release, they would have done so but its now water under the bridge; they didn't and more importantly, there is a newer update.

Sorry Andrew but I will disagree again.
22.5.5 is not an "old" dot release. It was released just two days ago.
I suspect that the documentation has just not caught up yet as, in previous dot releases to the same version, the documentation has been updated and links given to the specific Adobe security bulletins. This is not about explaining the "minutia" but a simple request for information that is available with the previous and similar dot releases.
This is the right place for a user to raise such a question and this forum is looked at by Adobe staff such as Jeffrey, who Jane has sensibly tagged as we users do not have access to that information.

Consider this: IF indeed, the dot release is for "specific Adobe security", discussing anything about it publicly is bad for security.
22.5.5 is IS an "older" dot release. There is a newer release: 23.1.1. The date and numbers bear this fact out.
No one outside of Adobe knows and can or will discuss what is in the older dot release. Adobe can and thus far hasn't. Ask all you want. Nothing else will change that.
They may. They may not.

The dates and numbers show both dot releases were released on the same day:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.5.5 20220106.r.691 150bba4 x64
Adobe Photoshop Version: 23.1.1 20220106.r.202 060a6d1 x64

And the release numbers (and the descriptions supplied by Adobe) are clear Dave.
And again, look what another company tells (or doesn't tell) customers about security updates:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213043
This is all pointless! A question was asked. Only Adobe can provide an answer. They haven't. They might. They might not.
23.1.1 IS the lastest update and version of Photoshop, period. What's new IS described by Adobe, period. The CC app makes this totally clear too:

I have no interest in Apple release practices - I don't use any Apple hardware or software.
I do use Adobe software, I have installed both of this weeks dot releases and, like the original poster, I am interested in Adobe's response to the the information request on the release content.

You missed the point Dave, about providing details about security updates for customers.
This is CWOBaT (colossal waste of bandwidth and time).
Neither of us can answer the question. Adobe can. They may not.
If they do, great.
If they don't, you may know why. That's the point sir.

Hi
There's no fixes listed for version 22.5.5, the last was 22.5.4
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues-history.html
So the 22.5.5 update was more than likely a security update

Thanks, but this already happened with 22.5.4; Adobe published the list of fixes long time after release. With this thread I expressed a hope that somebody from Adobe updates this infoemation timely and dutifuly, or other knowleadgelle folks inform me [and other interested users] on the details.

The page you linked to says at the top:
"Adobe provides technical support and security fixes for the current version and the prior version. Bug fixes are only provided for the current version."
Since 22.5.5 was released three months after 23.0 and was not the current version, @Ged_Traynor is correct that this version would only have security fixes.
I hope this helps, Ivan.

Thanks. As for security fixes, I do not want of a sudden to find myself unable to open old TIFF files, as happened with security updates in 22.5.2. Hence the question: what was done in 22.5.5 and I consider the question legitime.
