Hi @LunaBarak
Thanks for reaching out.
How are you trying to resize the file? What type of file are you working with?
You can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences
Please back up your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences
Let us know how it goes.

Hello Ranjisha ty for reply.
I have just now updated PS to this new version so preferences are untouched no need to reset.
I have a simple PSD file open, I added a layer and on this layer I have made a dot with the brush, if I try to resize the dot with the resize tool I get an error.

As I said I just updated PS but I followed your suggestion and reset the preferences anyway and it did work.
I wonder how it is possible that a brand new installed software have this preference issue? Should I check something else in my PC? Ty 🙂

Ok so the situation is I have to continously clean preferences and restart PS as the resize issue keeps coming back every action I do while working

Hi @LunaBarak try going to Photoshop.exe - hold Shift+Right-click and choose "Run as administrator" - does it work now?
Sounds like you have permissions issues with the resource folders in your system. Normally that points to the User account on Windows is not an admin.

Hello Kevin, I will try though I doubt that is the issue as I am using PS by years and it has been always in the same spot, also why user account permissions would only affect the resize tool?

@LunaBarak its not - its the fact that you have to keep clearing your preferences and restarting PS that leads me to check this option...

I will try if that works, ty 🙂

Hello Kevin, unfortunately running PS as administrator did not fix the issue 😞
