Photoshop - Brush turns into a mouse cursor while drawing

Hi,

For some time now I have the bug visible at the video below when from time to time, randomly, my brush turn into a mouse cursor and then often (but not always) it loses pressure making it very annoying and sometimes impossible to draw, because it happens so often. How can I fix it, I tried everything I could find online? I work on Windows 10 (always up to date).

Same problem here. Just downloaded a new brush set and this is constantily happening.

Did you check the double-click distance?

Are you using windows ink, or wintab?

In my case, Windows ink is disabled and the pen is touching the tablet while the cursor blinks in and out.

I got the same issue and Wacom Medium Pro, it's just making me nuts. Someone found a solution for this?

Try going to File > Generate > and make sure Image Assets is unchecked.  Also go to Preferences > Plugins and uncheck Enable Generator there as well. Worked for me!

So far this is working for me. In my case, Image Assets was already unchecked, so this had no efffect, but unchecking Enable Generator has improved the situation. 

I am curious why this works and if this solution will affect other workflows.

For some reason it seems to happen when the layers window is NOT visible, so my recommendation is to keep it visible, lol.

Moving the Layers menu to a second monitor also works.
