Photoshop Could Not Complete Your Request Because Of A Program Error

Question

Hello, I'm using the latest version of Photoshop CC downloaded yesterday onto a brand new 2019 HP Spectre x360 Laptop also purchased yesterday. I am on this device because my Apple MacBook Pro is undergoing repairs.

I saved this .psb file of an email design for a client FOUR times to be SURE it was saved prior to falling asleep last night. Now today I receive the error upon trying to open it "Could not complete your request because of a program error". PLEASE if you can help me open this file I will greatly appreciate it.

I am greatly puzzled at how or why this issue is occurring on a brand new device + version of Photoshop. I am so tired of being forced + bullied into paying upwards of $60 a month on products by Adobe only for their to be CONSTANT bugs + issues across not only Mac but also Windows platforms too.

Thanks if anyone can help me. With all of the technical issues I am experiencing already + having to spend $1700 on a new laptop, this is just the icing on the cake. I am beginning the process of just redesigning what I did, but if anyone could help I would SO greatly appreciate it again.

Hi brandonh,Sorry that you're getting an error message "could not complete your request because of a program error" while accessing a particular file in Photoshop. I tried opening the file at my end but getting the same error. I think the file is corrupt, you may try recovering it as mentioned in this article: Troubleshoot file recovery in Photoshop Thanks,Akash
