Question

Photoshop multiple artboard file sizes too large

I regularly use multiple artboard in photoshop, but the file sizes are HUGE. These are typically one image and some text on each artboard. Is there any way I can reduce this.  Any compression options / workarounds.  Working on the files themselves is fine, but the storage is massive. Thank you.

After saving, check the canvas size. This alongside the bits per channel mode, number and type of layers will all contribute to the file size in memory and on drive.

If it is same smart-object-image on all artboards, be sure to not copy/paste it, but duplicate by alt-dragging from one artboard to other (or duplicate whole artboard). This will keep just one instance of that image on all artboards, so only one big data in your PSD. Also when editing one instance, it will update all.
