Photoshop 2024 has been acting really strange lately. Amongst other issues, my disk space kept decreasing rapidly whislt using Photoshop. I had over 100GBs of space a few days ago, now i have only 19GB and nothing changes when restarting my PC.
After some inspection, 165GB of space is being taken up by this folder:
C:\Users\*Name*\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP\PluginsStorage\PHSP\25\Internal\com.adobe.unifiedpanel\LocalStorage\
It seems every few minutes or even seconds new files like these are created. There are over 6000 in this folder. This started on 29 Spetember 2024.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop within this time, but nothing changed. Currently I have Photoshop uninstalled since I discoved this problem.
How can I stop this and is it safe to delete these files/folders?

I've merged your duplicate posts into one thread so we are not answering in two places.
An .lbd file is a Microsoft Access file.

What are you doing when new files appear? And what is the word starting with "R..."?

Sorry about the two posts, I have no idea why that happened. I use photoshop for digital painting, so I only really use the basic brush tool, fill, new layers and image adjustments. Since many of these files are being created multiple per minute, every minute that I'm using it, I can't really narrow down a specific action. I tried opening them in access but had no luck.

The site I linked to says they are safe to delete:
"Because FRx uses Access databases for most of its normal operations, ".LDB" files are created in the FRx directory when the Designer, Report Launcher, or Queue Monitor applications are in use. Although ".LDB" files are typically removed when all users have closed FRx, one or more ".LDB" files may occasionally be left behind. When this occurs, these files are safe to delete - they will be re-created the next time a user launches FRx. The ".LDB" file may be used to determine which users are logged into FRx. This is useful when users must be asked to exit for a task that requires the FRx databases to be available."
For testing purposes, can you try this:

I think the R might have been "Restricted", but its changed to just LDB now. Just managed to open the files with notepad, cannot make any sense of it. Far too much text to show here, but it seems extremely similar across all files. Not sure the best way to post so here's a short excerpt:

I reinstalled photoshop, this time the new 2025 version. I made sure to wipe my preferences too. Restarted my PC, launched only photoshop. The problem seems to have stopped. I'm guessing it had something to do with the 2024 version, but no new files are being created and my other issues have stopped too. Also deleted all those files, no problems yet.
Thanks for your help! Lets hope this doesn't happen again

You're welcome Matthew, and I'm so glad to hear that all is working again for you. Going from 100GBs of space to only 19GB is scary!
