Question

Photoshop resets my file to the last saved state whenever i minimize it for a couple minutes

Sometimes happens even when i still in PS but working inside a smart object. this is really anoying. every time i get back to my file i need to check the history to see if it has undone my stuff and returned to the previus saved state.

Is this intended to be like this? Is this a performance issue? a bug?

Even if it was a bug it would be irrelevant as you are using an obsolete Photoshop version.

But I suspect other issues.

Can you reproduce the issue at will or is it purely random?

If it happens again could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, History, Options Bar, …) visible and provide a detailed description of the exact steps that lead up to the issue?

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Just happened right now. I was working on a RGB 300dpi A3 file.

Notice the History panel and the hour:

-----

Then i cmd+tab to google chrome. then some time later i cmd+tab back to PS and it poped up this loading (it does everytime when this "bug" happens) (i do not know why the history panel was hidden. It must be set off itself):

-----

Then after it completes the load we have:

-----

It "updated" the file to the last saved state.

Could it be a performance issue? Like the system has not enough memory to keep the changes until i get back to PS so it updates to the last saved state?
