Hi All,
I trying to use Photoshop's Super Resolution.
Have PS and LRC on Creative Cloud - all latest versions on my MacMini M2 Pro, Sonoma 14.
I downloaded Camera Raw but I can't find it on my system as a separate Application as (the video I am watching) asks that files are opened directly from Camera Raw to access Photoshop Super Resolution.
Please help me find Camera Raw AND Super Resolution.
Thanks!
Camera raw is not a separate application, but a plugin for Photoshop/Bridge and built-in to Lightroom
If you have digital camera and camera raw files from said camera, then in Photoshop go to File>Open
and the raw file should open the Camera Raw dialog.
In the Camera Raw dialog right click on the image the click Enhance and you should see Super Resolution.
If your image can be converted to tif then you should be able to open it in Camera Raw by using File>Open in photoshop
clicking on your tif then setting the Format to Camera Raw then Open.
You can also in photoshop go to Adobe Photoshop 2024>Settings>Camera Raw>File Handling and set Tiffs and/or Jpegs with or without settings to always open in Camera Raw. There are times where you may not what this in the case of a tif having layers which will be lost in camera raw.
Just to be clear: Super Resolution is not available in the Camera Raw filter from within Photoshop. You need to open the file directly into the Camera Raw processor (the plugin). Those two are not the same thing.
A raw file from a camera will always open into the Camera Raw processor. As per Jeff's instructions, you can also optionally set TIFF and jpeg to open this way.

Hi Jeff,
I can only open the image in Raw by going into FILTER>Camera Raw Filter.
I shot on my iPhone, added AI photos to the original and I want to Enhance the final image. I worked in .psd. I even tried converting it to .tiff to bring it into Camera Raw Filter, but still no sign of Enhance.
Please advise,
Thanks

One year after your answer, I discover this option of Super Resolution ...!!
I am on photoshop 2024 (25.0.0) and I just downloaded the latest version of the camera Raw plug in (17.10.2100)
I would like to use it to enlarge-enhance a jpeg image...
I understand it is not possible by using the Camera Raw Filter itself within Photoshop .... (totally counter intuitive by the way)
So now I am using your method which is forcing the jpeg image to open as a Camera Raw one ....
Then the enhance option is still nowhere to be seen, but within Details THERE is Super Resolution ...!
When I activate it (ticking the box), the promise is kept and the image is increased by 2, but when I validate the result asking for the creation of a dynamic object, the image opens at its normal size (even decreased a little bit)...
I am puzzled ...

pavitra2010,
You can verify if the size in Camera Raw is the same as it is after opening the imge in Photoshop by looking at the Pixel Dimensions in Camera Raw after doing Super Resolution and comparing them to the image opened in Photoshop using Image>Image Size.
