Hi everyone, i'm trying to cut to the cap but im wondering how to ged rid off the white stroke around the cap. I tried Modify > Expand/Contract but then i cut out to much of the photo.. What is the right way to do this?

I would prefer masking instead of cutting and then use the Select and Mask workspace to fine-tune the mask with a live preview.

@Stefanie Langwerden

I agree with Bojan that masking is preferred over erasing, as it is non-destructive.

Set your foreground and background swatches to pure black and white, "D". Try a small-ish soft brush to paint out the white edges. "X" will reverse the colors if you go too far.

Have you tried to manually erase it?

Have you tried Select Subject?

Does either the magnetic lasso or the quick selection tool work?

How about trying the clone or healing tool?
