There is a bug in the Neural Filters feature. This feature causes frequent app crashes and errors even with non-beta filters. Will you fix this bug in the next release?

Hey, @fangbo_6077. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please feel free to create a new post and mention me in your post, and share the system information from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > upload and attach here.

Does this happen only with all the Neural Filters, or any specific ones? Does it happen with any specific images you're working on?

    Thanks!

Thanks for sharing these updates! Photoshop v26.10 looks great, especially the enhancements to the Star Tool.

I’m comfortable working in Photoshop, but I usually need to convert raster images to vector. Is there any way to get some kind of vectorization directly in Photoshop, or would you recommend moving to Illustrator for that workflow?

Hi, one could vectorize selections and thus create some form of vectorization in Photoshop: see this old tut I wrote long time ago: https://mos.computerarts.co.uk/pdf/arts83_pshop.pdf

For simple shapes there is the content aware tracing tool:  https://photoshopcafe.com/how-to-use-content-aware-trace-in-photoshop-for-perfect-selections/

Or you could use also Adobe Capture: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/capture-extension-in-libraries-panel.html

The best option being the tracing tools in Adobe Illustrator. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/image-trace.html

Really happy to see the Star Tool finally getting proper customization controls. Being able to adjust the number of points and radii directly on the canvas makes it so much easier for design projects. The bug fixes are a relief too, especially the gradient tool preset issue and copy/paste glitch on Windows. Thanks to the Adobe team for listening to feedback and continuing to polish the workflow. Excited to try this out in real projects!

The good news is that we finally have a star tool. The bad news is that post update, I can't open JPG files without Photoshop crashing 😕😕

"Photoshop v26.10’s new Star tool is fantastic! Creating perfect star shapes with adjustable points, radii, and stroke/fill settings right on the canvas makes design work much faster. Small updates like this really improve workflow and spark creativity. It’s one of those features that feels simple but is incredibly useful for designers."

    Is this update worth it?

That’s great news—updates like this can really smooth out the creative process. I’m curious whether v26.10 brings performance improvements for handling large files, since that’s where Photoshop updates make the biggest impact for many designers.

Photoshop v26.10 introduces a new Star Tool with customizable points, radii, and styling directly on the canvas, making shape creation more flexible. The update also fixes key issues like Remove Tool errors, gradient presets, and layer name copy/paste glitches. A solid release for smoother, more creative workflows.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it happened after updating to the latest version. The zooming with keyboard shortcut (CTRL+ and CTRL-) has gone totally crazy. I was used to it going in some steps, but now it seems to work totally random. And especially when i zoom out (press CTRL- a few times), it suddennly jumps to 0,1% zoom. Also I noticed that CTRL+ALT+0 (go to 100%) now works really strange. It jumps to 100%, but when you let off the keys, it returns to previous view. Only way it works is if you first let off the "0" and ten the CTRL+ALT.
