Photoshop won't let me open a scanned image of play money, how can I force it to open it? I was given a play money Trump2020 bill. I scanned it and tried to open it in photoshop but a dialog box pops up saying "photoshop doesn't support the editing of banknote images". Well it's NOT a banknote. Doesn't even resemble a real banknote and in no way could be mistaken for a real banknote, even by a blind drunk.

Is there anyway to force photoshop to open it? I wouldn't even consider scanning a real bill...

Hi there,

Photoshop includes a counterfeit deterrence system (CDS) that prevents the use of the product to illegally duplicate banknotes. As implemented, CDS prevents users from opening detailed images of banknotes within Photoshop. We understand that in some cases the intent is not to counterfeit currency. However there isn't a way to bypass the deterrence system. For more information, please checkout this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/cds.html

Thanks,

Akash
